Our workforces of approximately 400 professional skilled electricians are available for your short and long term projects. Local 229 also operates a registered apprenticeship program to ensure continued future availability of trained qualified professionals.

Utilizing our assessment testing we classify workers according to their skills and knowledge and “classify” them in one of the above classifications. Training
Your company will benefit form Local 229’s training programs. We can provide you fully trained workers and offer training to your current employees if needed. Each year we spend thousands of dollars on training employees that come aboard with newly signed contractors. We offer training not only to our apprentices but ongoing journeyman training as well.
Local 229 also has a certified BICSI training lab for our Tele data members. BICSI is now and industry standard and BICSI certified technicians are required by many customers. We will provide that training at no cost to you.
Safety
How much does your company typically spend per employee on safety training alone? $500…$1000…$2000? Our training programs serve to lower your safety related costs.
